PEN PALS is an epistolary play that tells the story of the extraordinary friendship between two ordinary women. Bernie, from Newark, New Jersey, starts writing to Mags, who lives in Sheffield, England, when she’s 14-years-old and their correspondence continues for the next five decades.

Every year since they were married, Glen and Sandy Golden have been celebrating their wedding anniversary by coming to the same cottage on the lake for an annual weekend of quiet romance. And this year marks a major milestone: fifty years of wedded bliss. Well, mostly bliss... One week ago, Sandy cancelled their big anniversary party and kicked Glen to the curb.
